I based the first group of drawings on some mark making I really liked in my colour drawings. The second group of drawings were based on some patterns I had seen in tube stations while I was traveling around London. I really like the way the cutout could be its own piece or used with another drawing.
I did these drawings based on colours I saw around me in my apartment and my visit to the Columbia Road Flower Market. I really like the layering collage effect I created in the first drawing by using tissue paper. I also think using the nectarine as a medium as well as drawing it was really interesting. I think I could have used more mediums, used more collage and maybe worked in 3D to create more interest within the drawings.
