In the task 2 – talking patterns, I extracted the colors from the task 1 and then extended some colors and patterns of garbage in task 1. In task 2, I began to focus more on the relationship between the environment and small objects rely on them. I looked at the way the bags wound around each other and made some patterns of color blocks. And I also used the plastic bottle and burn it, smash it and then I applied the acrylic on the surface of the bottle and I recombined the plastic bottle with some waste burlap bags with admitting distortion methods. Then I used embroidery and stitching to connect them together. Besides, I looked at the sculptures and drew some drawings according to the silhouettes of the sculpture. And I finally got some interesting and beautiful shapes and patterns. I would like to follow these patterns and make more experiment and development. Also they can be an interesting part of my further embroidery works.

In task 1, I went to the flower shop and I looked at some photos I took before in Brick Lane in East London. I found some beautiful and colorful flowers, their internal petal structure is also very attractive to me, there are some curves. So I used the water colour and acrylic and had some drawings on paper. Well, I also went to some places, and I observed some of the garbage, the beer LIDS on the ground, and the cigarette butts and the dirt, and they formed some colorful patterns. I was very interested in these curved shapes and colors, and then I found that the patterns on my cat’s body were very similar, because my cat was an ocelot, so they had some leopard patterns on their body, and leopard patterns would have curved shapes and patterns, as well as changes in depth.
