For this unit the task was patterns, to demonstrate this I firstly drew a range of objects in mixed media (following on from unit one) yet, instead of using one shade through my drawings I enphasised my lines and strokes as well as the colours I was observing in the images to experiment on the patterns I could create within them. To make this more effective I made sure to use objects involving glass or a clear surface that reflected the light or allowed me to see through into the other side, this allowed me to be more abstract and creative. To then allaborate on these I used photo-shop to edit a few images, experimenting on how the lines and strokes could be viewed differently if the colours/lighting was altered. I then wanted to go back to the brief and create repeated patterns using my edited photos. overall I believe this went well due to my repeated pattern outcomes as well as the experimental process throughout as I have gained skills in photoshop and have expanding my drawing techniques.
