I feel that the paintings as a whole give off a feeling of depression and irritation that easily resonates with the viewer’s unhappy emotions. The first few paintings in particular have a bit style of wabi-sabi. It is like a desperate feeling of life withering away. But the later pictures have more of a dreamy feeling compared to the earlier ones. It is as if they are expressing a feeling of reluctance, attachment and regret for a former love. There is pain but at the same time there is beauty. My favourite picture is the one in red. The red colour usually represents hot love, but you have incorporated a little black to show the process of the bright red turning into a dark red, as if the love is fading from the sweetness of the beginning. With a little bit of white and yellow paint, it is as dazzling as a glass of shiny wine, which has the ultimate charm but is also like a deadly poison.
