For this first unit my group were given the option to go to East or West London, after researching, we choice the columbian flower market based in the East. Due to the bright colours and busy atmosphere, I believed it to be the best starting point for my project as it allowed focus on experimentation with colour as well as shape. My main focus throughout these drawing was to experiment with different medias as well as explore brush strokes and how they can effect a piece of work. Overall I feel I have gained confidence in using colour to portray a piece as well as completing quick sketches to show my thought process. For example the third sketch down has hints of colour to show a rough idea on a finished piece.
